1:00-2:00 pm: Refreshments and Remarks celebrating the Scrag Forest Gateway Project
2:00-4:00 pm: Explore and enjoy the Scrag Town Forest! Explore on your own or enjoy one of two guided walks in the Scrag Forest: a shorter loop through the Gateway Parcel (45 minutes) or a longer hike to the Scrag Beaver Pond (1.5-hour round trip).
The Scrag Town Forest is located at the end of Bowen Road, in Waitsfield (see map below). From Route 100 in the historic Waitsfield village, go left on Bridge Street and, at the next fork, bear right. Follow the East Warren Road for approximately 3 miles, then take a left on Sherman Road. Continue for half a mile, then take the first left on Bowen Road. Continue to the Town Forest entrance and parking.
