CANCELLED: Women’s Tour of Russell-Donegan Family Sugaring Operation

All women, cis and trans alike, as well as nonbinary persons and allies are welcome on this tour. Kids are also welcome. Pre-register by Friday, March 27.
Please dress appropriately for the weather, as we will be outside for portions of the tour. Waterproof boots are highly recommended.

About Trillium Hill Farm
Anne Donegan and her four brothers conserved 68 acres of woodland and pasture in 2006. Her family has farmed and worked the woods of their Hinesburg land since the 1800s. Donegan, her brothers, and her three sons all sugar, with some help from her five grandchildren as well.The family uses traditional methods to sugar, including draft horses, buckets, and a wood-fired evaporator. Donegan calls it “an experience of community.”
The property also includes two miles of public recreational trails through the woods and fields. The trails are dedicated to Anne’s parents, and have always been open to the community.
Directions & Parking
Please park at St. Jude the Apostle Parish, located at 10759 VT-116 in Hinesburg. As a group, we’ll walk to Trillium Hill Farm. Please carpool if possible. We will return to the parking area by 11:30 AM.
