BUCT Summer Workshop Series: Fermentation Basics

Holly Simpson of The West Farm at Brewster Uplands will cover the basic science of fermenting vegetables and talk about tools, vessels and resources. Then you’ll make a variation of kimchi and a brined pickle.

The Brewster Uplands Conservation Trust property covers 1,147 acres in Cambridge and visitors to the property can experience its beauty and natural diversity by strolling a network of trails. The property, which came to VLT through the generosity of the Bryan family, includes active working farms, woodlands and other important natural resources, and some incredible views of the northern Green Mountains. Visitors can hike, walk, mountain bike, ride horses, cross-country ski and snowshoe. Please note that the working farmland is not open to recreation.
