Please join the Vermont Land Trust and the many friends of Karen Freudenberger in celebrating and honoring Karen’s life spent energetically and warmly in the service of others.
Beyond serving as farm manager, Karen conceived of what has become the thriving Pine Island Community Farm that produces goats, chickens, vegetables, and honey for the Burlington-area New American community. The farm is also a cultural gathering place for the community.
The Karen Freudenberger Fund for Pine Island Farm will be just a part of the legacy of Karen’s hard work and dedication that she showed toward Pine Island Community Farm, and all those that were a part of the effort.
Gifts in honor and celebration of Karen can be made to the Karen Freudenberger Fund for Pine Island Farm. Checks can be made payable to the Vermont Land Trust with “Karen’s Fund” noted on the memo line, and sent to: Vermont Land Trust, 8 Bailey Avenue, Montpelier, VT 05602.
You may also donate online (click below and then select 'Karen's Fund' from the drop-down menu) or call Jane Coffey at (802) 262-1204.
